How much is admission to the museum?

Absolutely nothing! We don’t charge a dime for people to visit and enjoy our museum’s exhibits; however, donations are very much appreciated.

Where are you located?

We’re conveniently located about ½ mile south of the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital and ½ mile north of downtown South Boston, at 1540 Wilborn Avenue. GET DIRECTIONS

What are your hours?

The museum is currently open for business Wednesday thru Saturday from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.

Do you do private tours?

Yes, we do offer private tours; however, advance notice is required.

Do you accept donations?

Yes! Donations help keep our doors open and our admission free. No amount is too small or too large!

How do I make a donation?

Making donations to the museum is simple. Either stop by with your donation or mail it to us here at South Boston-Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts & History, P.O. Box 383, South Boston, VA 24592.

Do you accept non-monetary donations?

Of course! The majority of our collections have been graciously donated to the museum by patrons. However, due to issues regarding collection space, we may politely decline some offers.

Can I volunteer at the museum?

Absolutely! The museum simply cannot function without the support of its volunteers, and we’re always looking for passionate and reliable people to join our team. Click here for more information.

How can I become a member?

Becoming a member is easy. Simply choose the level of membership that works best for you, then visit us at the museum or mail a check or money order with a completed application to South Boston-Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts & History, P.O. Box 383, South Boston, VA 24592.
