How much is admission to the museum?

Absolutely nothing! We don’t charge a dime for people to visit and enjoy our museum’s exhibits; however, donations are very much appreciated.

Where are you located?

We’re conveniently located about ½ mile south of the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital and ½ mile north of downtown South Boston, at 1540 Wilborn Avenue. GET DIRECTIONS

What are your hours?

The museum is currently open for business

Wednesday 10 AM – 4 PM

Thursday 10 AM – 4 PM

Friday 10 AM – 4 PM

Saturday 10 AM – 4 PM

How can I become a member?

Becoming a member is easy. Simply choose the level of membership that works best for you, then visit us at the museum or mail a check or money order with a completed application to South Boston-Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts & History, P.O. Box 383, South Boston, VA 24592.

Do you do private tours?

Yes, we do offer private tours; however, advance notice is required.

Do you accept donations?

Yes! Donations help keep our doors open and our admission free. No amount is too small or too large!
